Barack Obama Disparages Widow Nancy Reagan
November 18th, 2008

Obama says in his first post-election press conference that he's spoken to all the former presidents — Carter, Bush, Clinton, as well as the current Bush — and, looser than he's been in months, dares a joke at the expense of the widow of the most recently deceased. "I have spoken to all of them who are living," he says. "I didnt want to get into a Nancy Reagan thing about doing any séances," he says. He was responding to a question, from the Chicago Sun-Times' Lynn Sweet, about whether he'd spoken to all of the "living" former presidents. He was apparently referring to the reports in the 1980s that Nancy Reagan consulted an astrologer while in the White House. Mary Todd Lincoln, however, reportedly held actual séances. Hillary Clinton also reportedly held imaginary conversations with Eleanor Roosevelt.

Ronald Reagan - A Time for Choosing (October 27, 1964)
November 18th, 2008

This is an excerpt of the 30 minute speech supporting the Republican presidential nominee Barry Goldwater. Reagan speaks of big government, high taxation, and the "war on poverty." He addresses foreign policy issues including the risk of appeasement, "peace through strength," and the Vietnam War. The speech establishes Reagan as an important figure in the conservative wing of the Republican party. To a significant degree, Ronald Reagan's election to the presidency stems from this speech, given on national television on behalf of, and sponsored by, Barry Goldwater's 1964 presidential campaign. The speech remains amazingly fresh as a statement of modern American conservative philosophy four decades after it was delivered. Ronald Reagan and Ron Paul: A Comparison
November 18th, 2008

This is a comparison between the policies and ideology of Reagan's 1964 speech at the GOP Convention in support of Barry Goldwater and statements made by Ron Paul throughout the primary campaign for the GOP nomination in the 2008 election. The comparison includes policy beliefs on taxation, inflation, social security, foreign policy, and Constitutionalism. Introduction from Mike Church - This movie was a collaborative effort between the Rev. X and me. The goal was simple: ALL Republicans profess to crave, no covet! a new Gipper as the Party's nominee. It should go without saying that said nominee should actually BELIEVE in Reagan's core beliefs and his guiding principles... to read the rest of Mike's introduction go to http://www.mikechurch.com
